Lychee Intelligence Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our") developed Sika ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use the App.

Data Collection

We do not collect any personal data.

The App does not collect, transmit, or store any personally identifiable information. We have no server-side components and do not use any third-party analytics or tracking services.

Screen Recording & Privacy

The App uses Apple's ScreenCaptureKit technology with the native SCContentSharingPicker interface to let you choose what to record. This means:

  • The App does not require and will not request the macOS "Screen Recording" TCC permission
  • The App can only record content you explicitly allow through the system picker
  • The App cannot access any other content on your screen that you haven't selected

Recording Files

All video and audio recordings are stored in the App's sandboxed Documents directory (a local folder dedicated to the App). Files are never uploaded to any external server.

Microphone Usage

The App can optionally use your microphone to record your voice. This feature requires your macOS microphone permission. Microphone audio is used solely for local recording and is never transmitted externally.

Local Storage

The App uses UserDefaults to store your application preferences (such as language selection, recording format, etc.). These settings are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to any external service.

App Sandbox

The App has App Sandbox enabled, which is Apple's security mechanism that restricts the App to accessing only necessary system resources. This further protects your device security and privacy.

Third-Party Services

The App does not use any third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising frameworks, or remote services.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
