Virtual Reception Robot Wins Gold Award and Special Award at Malaysia MTE Invention Exhibition

MTE International Invention Exhibition

From February 21-23, 2019, the 18th MTE International Invention Exhibition was held in Malaysia. The Taiwan delegation achieved outstanding results at MTE 2018 with 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals, 6 bronze medals, and 3 special awards, ranking third overall. Taiwan was again invited to participate this year.

Gold Medal and Special Award

The virtual reception robot developed collaboratively by Lychee Intelligence and Shih Chien University participated in this MTE International Invention Exhibition in Malaysia, ultimately achieving remarkable results with both a Gold Medal and the Special Award.

Technology Highlights

Professor Huang Yao-Hsien from Shih Chien University represented the collaborative team at the exhibition, introducing the virtual reception robot’s applications in the insurance industry to visitors from around the world. The exhibited virtual reception robot represents a practical application of AI technology and 3D avatar modeling in the insurance industry, combining:

  • Visual Robot: Allows users to interact with the visual virtual robot on-site to obtain insurance information
  • Intelligent Online Chatbot: Enables users to access desired insurance information anytime, anywhere

Looking Forward

The virtual reception robot developed by Lychee Intelligence and Shih Chien University brings a more human-like customer service experience to the insurance industry’s virtual customer service, earning multiple honors at the 18th Malaysia MTE International Invention Exhibition. Beyond bringing glory to Taiwan, it also adds vitality to the application technologies of artificial intelligence and 3D virtual avatars, introducing new inventions and applications.
